There is nothing wrong with this type of tattoo, but I wouldn't advise using dark colors like this tattoo. I like the design, but uses of the color is all wrong. The green in the tattoo is fine, but I believe the dark tone of the other colors takes away from this tattoo. I am not saying that you shouldn't use this design or color at all. I just personally believe the colors are all wrong.

As you can see, the purple is not very bright, but just enough to really set the tattoo off. You really need to pay attention to your choice of colors when you get your butterfly tattoo. Remember, the outline is usually done in black anyway. This adds enough dark color to the butterfly tattoo anyway. You really want to have the perfect mixture of colors and hues for the butterfly tattoo. Of course, it is your tattoo and you can choose any color that you wish, but I still believe the lighter colors look so much better. The sky blue color and light pink work well with the black outline ink.
